Why we built it
Used-car prices in Central Europe are scattered across national portals, each in its own language and currency — and the same model can cost markedly more in one country than its neighbour. Car Scanner gathers those listings, normalizes them onto one EUR axis, and surfaces the gap.
How it works
Every day we collect listings from multiple portals, remove duplicates (VIN where public, a fuzzy composite otherwise) and unify the key facts (make, model, year, mileage, fuel, power, price). Each car links back to the original listing at the source.
Data & accuracy
All figures are medians (robust to outliers) and every cell shows its sample size (n). Cross-border gaps are computed within a shared age cohort, so an old fleet in one market is never compared against a newer one. Advertised mileage is treated as a seller claim, not fact.
Coverage
Czechia, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary first; Austria is next. We keep expanding the number of sources and the depth per model.
Car Scanner is an aggregator — contact, booking and all photos are on the original listing at the source.
